Data Consultant (Senior)
Build data platforms and insights that stand understood
At GLUE, senior data consultants don’t just “deliver data projects.” They shape data landscapes that help organizations think, decide, and act better — today and years from now. We’re looking for senior data consultants who understand that data value comes from alignment: between business goals, architecture choices, governance, and daily operations. You’ve seen what happens when data platforms are overengineered, poorly governed, or disconnected from real decision-making — and you know how to prevent that. You are comfortable designing and delivering modern data solutions: cloud platforms, ingestion patterns, migrations, data sharing models, and insight-driven applications. But you don’t hide behind technical complexity. You explain your choices. You challenge assumptions. And when a client is heading toward a solution that won’t hold up, you say so — clearly and honestly.
At GLUE, senior consultants act as trusted advisors. You work with clients, not just for them. You help them navigate trade-offs, avoid vendor lock-in, and build data solutions that grow with their business. You also help others grow — by setting standards, coaching junior consultants, and leading by example.
What you’ll do
- Design and deliver cloud-first, vendor-agnostic data platforms
- Define data architectures, ingestion strategies, and migration approaches
- Enable data sharing, analytics, and AI-assisted insight generation
- Translate business strategy into actionable data solutions
- Advise clients honestly on risks, trade-offs, and long-term impact
- Coach junior consultants and contribute to GLUE’s data practice
What fits you
- Strong experience in data consulting, analytics engineering, or data architecture
- Hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure, AWS, GCP, SAP BTP)
- Ability to connect business goals with technical design choices
- Confidence to challenge decisions — constructively and transparently
- A sense of ownership: you build solutions as if they were your own
